Description: There is a lack of physical activity amongst our youth and a correlation to our youth mental health crisis. Discussion of solutions and ideas to help solve the current crisis our nation is facing and how we can begin to change the course of direction in adolescent health. Currently less than 23% of our youth meet the recommended 60 minutes of physical activity today and depression is the leading cause of illness amongst 12-18 year olds, with suicide as the third cause of death amongst teenagers. We need to find alternative ways to combat mental health and physical activity could be one of the solutions.
