Description: The Kansas City Anti Violence Project has been serving the lgbtqia+ community since 2003. KCAVP serves by filling the gaps that victim-survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and hate violence might experience while navigating resources they need. Drawing on the experience of their predecessors, the data that is available for the community, and the experiences shared, this presentation will provide community members and services providers alike an opportunity to understand how they might be a better ally and better serve the lgbtqia+ community.
